About Steve Koppel
Before taking up photography, Steve spent 20 years as a Senior Partner and business consultant with Accenture, leaving in 2002 to volunteer with non-profit organizations to help maximize their social impact. Steve is a Trustee at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and has served in numerous volunteer strategy roles at other Boston-area healthcare organizations. Locally, Steve serves on the Board of the Association to Preserve Cape Cod.
A graduate of Brown University, Steve is the founder of the non-profit EDI Institute. This non-profit promotes healing and resilience for patients and caregivers through imagery created on mobile devices. Steve’s TEDx talk on Expressive Digital Imagery (EDI) can be viewed Here. Steve is a frequent speaker at conferences and camera clubs and conducts retreats on Cape Cod focused on imagery as a form of self-expression with an emphasis on the overall photographic experience. Steve’s photography is on the walls of several Boston area hospitals and businesses, including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, and The Flatley Company.

Some EXPRESSIONS Gallery sales are donated to the EDI Institute and the Association to Preserve Cape Cod.
