Blazing Editions was thrilled to aid in producing Sangbim IM’s newest works for his current exhibition in NYC, “AI/IM.” The Ryan Lee Gallery was reshaped with his custom cut high-gloss metal prints. IM’s new series of photographs combines hundreds of images that he has taken on his travels of well-known cities and landmarks. After taking numerous photographs at different angles, he uploads the images to photoshop and auto-splices them together. The multiple images of a location are then joined together, resulting in contemporary custom-shaped landscapes.

Blazing Edition’s CNC Router Cutter was used to produce the species shapes, allowing IM to maintain the unique forms of the program. Since the images all had to hang as horizontal landscapes, small custom float backings were meticulously added on the back of each print. It was an honor to work with IM and bring these spectacular view from around the wold together in one cohesive exhibition.

“AI/IM” is running from September 5th - October 12th, 2019

Located at Ryan Lee Gallery
