Alison Langley and Russ Kramer exhibited Now & Then summer 2021 in honor of the Herreshoff Marine Museum’s 50th Anniversary. Opened in 1971, the Herreshoff Marine Museum, located in Bristol, RI, aims to educate the public on maritime history. Blazing Editions was happy to produce Langley and Kramer’s dye-sublimated metal and canvas prints for the show. Some prints from the 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Gala Art Show are still on sale with some proceeds generously benefiting the museum. About Russ Kramer

Russ Kramer is a fine art maritime painter based out of Mystic Seaport. He depicts action packed and lively scenes of sailing crews, ocean travel, and more. Many yacht and ship scenes he paints require meticulous research because they are historically accurate. Kramer has won awards at the Mystic International Maritime Art Exhibition and had a one-man show at the Museum of Yachting in Newport. Kramer gave a lecture in 2021 called “Great Yachts Marine Paintings of Russ Kramer” you can view here.

About Alison Langley

Alison Langley is a maritime photographer currently residing in Maine. She studied film at NYU and photography at RISD. She also lived in Australia where she learned to sail and her passion for seafaring grew. An expert of the seas, Langley has even spent some years sailing around the world. Langley was awarded the prestigious 2021 Rebecca Chase Herreshoff Award by the Herreshoff Marine Museum.
