The Ocean is forever changing, yet always familiar. It moves and transforms while providing a constant nourishment of body and soul that Cate Brown has yet to find anywhere else. Perhaps that is why Cate keeps going back to it.
These aerial explorations of the Rhode Island coastline are a segment of Brown’s fine art portfolio, combining ocean abstractions with aerial perspectives to comprehensively express the unique beauty and intrigue of a place defined by both land and sea.
Driven by an equal love for the Ocean and beautiful photographs, Brown’s aim is to draw you into a world defined and surrounded by sandy beaches and salty ocean waters.
She hopes that her photography not only invokes the smell of salt air, the sound of waves, and sensations of salt spray but also an appreciation and respect for our Oceans. We owe so much to the waters that have given us life, abundance, and a calling for exploration and expression.
